An investor since in 1983, Michael specialized in infrastructure, utilities, energy, and telecommunications with Drexel Burnham Lambert. He became a partner in the Corporate Finance Department in 1988. Michael was an operations manager for a Houston-based oil service company and the direct investment business with Clayton Dubilier & Rice. He has taken part in or initiated numerous acquisitions, recapitalizations, and dispositions of CD&R portfolio companies. Michael founded Dubilier & Company where he has continued to invest in infrastructure since 1994.

She also served as a Robert Bosch Fellow in Germany and is a former US Government intelligence analyst.
